Rod Building
Classes for '05-'06
"I remember building this wonderful fly rod
back in ought-four...." that's what you'll say to your children and
grandchildren - with pride! Casting, fishing and catching fish on a rod you
built is one of the real pleasures of fly fishing. Over the past 12 years, we've
helped hundreds of folks build plenty of fly rods - all to their liking.
This year, we're not offering scheduled rod building classes, per se. We do,
however, want to help you build your own custom fly rod. We're doing this to
offer you the most flexibility possible.
Here's the deal: come by or call to determine what rod you'd like to build -
we'll do some casting to help you out - then we'll order the blank that you
prefer, as well as all the components. When the parts are here, we'll assist you
in building the rod with this guarantee: you will be delighted with the
results!
Give us a call or drop us an email for information.

Atlantic Salmon Flies!
I've been fascinated by these lovely flies - and the great fish they were
designed to fool - for about twenty-five years. About six years ago I
learned to tie them. I'm not the best, but I tied the flies above and love
sharing the techniques to get started.
Here's the deal: If you are interested in learning to tie these beautiful
flies you've got to let me know. When I have three or four folks who want to
learn to tie them I'll do a class. That's simple, huh? So, let me know.

I
know there are friends and readers out there who would love to learn to tie
flies. Well, I love teaching fly tying skills, so we're going to
get
together for a Crash Course in fly tying. Okay?
First, I'd like to know who's out there that would like to do this? We'd
meet on a Friday night to get started and tie all day on Saturday and into
Sunday morning. That way anyone who is flying into Denver to participate can
come in on Friday during the day, get to Longmont and then fly out on Sunday
afternoon.
Local folks can come to town and have a great weekend with me learning to
tie flies. I'm not necessarily tooting my own horn here, so take this as you
may. I can teach fly tying as well as anyone, anywhere. I'll prove it if
you'll just join me for this fun.
Please fill in and email me this form. I'll get back with you about the
details. Thanks.
