Introduction
This page is about high quality
flies, tied by an experienced angler and teacher.
I've been tying flies since 1980.
That seems like a long time. But it's not really how long I've tied, but how
many: I've probably
tied upwards of 350,000 flies during the years. And I've always hoped -
prayed, in fact - that folks would have a great time fishing with the flies,
my labor of love on their behalf. Corny? Maybe, but I don't really care - ha, ha! I
love people and fly fishing. Being able to combine these passions by tying flies for
folks just feels right and works.
The flies that I'm offering are
patterns that I've developed in one way or another. Some, of course, you've
seen - maybe you even made something just like them on your own. I don't
really think here is much new under the sun, but for the most part these are
patterns that have a slightly different bent, and they work.
I'll also tie custom orders of any
fly you'd like. Just let me know.
In addition to the flies, I'm going
to offer sample flies with tying instructions, and sample flies, tying
instructions and materials to tie the flies. Read on for additional
information - and please, have fun!

What Can I Buy?
I'm offering three
options for Dale's Flies.

Flies. You
can buy flies to fish with that I tied. You will get value for your
money because the flies will be durable, consistent, tied with high
quality hooks and materials and tie with great care with your fishing
in mind.

Sample flies
and tying instructions. I'll tie one pattern as a sample and send
you a complete full-color tying instructional booklet on how to select
and handle materials and how to tie the fly. As time goes on, I'll be
offering a DVD option at this level, as well.

Tying Kits.
Same as #2, but with materials to tie lots of the pattern, including a
package of 25 hooks in one size, and packages of the other materials.

How Do I Buy?
We'll use PayPal.
Just click on the item you'd like. It will take you to the purchase
page. Tell me how many you'd like and fill in all the information
required. PayPal will ask you for your credit card number and I'll ship
you the goodies! I pay all the fees for using PayPal, so it is quick and
easy for you.
If you would prefer
to pay by check or money order - which is fine, as well - just drop me a
line at daleflies@gmail.com and
I'll give you additional information.

Flies will be
sold in lots of 6 per size and pattern. You are a serious angler, so
getting six lovely flies of one size and pattern will allow you to
fish with confidence and to share with a friend on the river. Flies
will be priced based on material cost and time to tie them.

Sample flies and
tying instructions. You will receive one fly and the tying instruction
booklet. There will be multiple options, including a yearly membership
to my fly tying club at Dale's Flies.

Tying Kits. Same
as #2, but we'll add the cost of materials based on a very reasonable
retail price. Each kit will have the price and a list of everything
that's included. Know that the materials will be the best that I can
find.
