Programs & Instructions

Interested in an informative, educational program for your club, a group of friends or service organization?

Let me know!

Through the years I’ve made presentations to thousands of people at fishing clubs, service organizations, trade shows, churches and other types of groups. My background in teaching - from the college level as well as teaching privately as a pianist and composer for over thirty years - combines nicely with the performing I’ve done as a pianist to make for entertaining educational programs.

My presentations utilize Power Point. I combine great pictures with video footage, humor and clear, concise explanations to both teach and entertain. I think fishing is fun, don’t really care how anyone does it as long as the rules are followed for the water fished, and make fun of myself as the consummate fly fishing snob - I fish dry flies on bamboo rods most of the time. (Well, not for permit!) My programs vary from basic fly fishing information through Dry Flies, Fishing The Flats and so on. Often, I assemble new programs for clubs based on what they’d enjoy learning.

Combine my visit to your club with either private or group casting and tying lessons. On most of my trips I do a presentation to a club on an evening, and then teach fly tying classes for one or two days on either side of that meeting.

What works best for you and your friends?

Let me know. I love people, and I love to share fly fishing skills and fun.
